3D Modeling and Animation
This is a small gallery of the modeling and animation work that I've done. All of the models here were created, animated, and rendered in Autodesk Maya 2013 by myself.
Compund Bow 2012
This comedic animation was originally made to test glow effects, extruding techniques, and importing of other Maya assets into a project.
Bat Folder 2012
This animation was a "pop" quiz randomly given to my class (during my 2nd year, 4th semester) to test our skills. We had one hour to accomplish a task our instructor gave us; in this case we had to model, texturize, and animate a folder flying. This is what I was able to accomplish.
Hammer Final 2012
This project was part of the Final Exam for my advanced Modeling and Animation class. We were given a very specific task to accomplish during the 1 hour and 45 minute class period. We had to make an animation of a hammer that met these certain requirments:
1. The model of the hammer had to meet given dimensions.
2. The model of the hammer had to be texturized.
3. To animate the hammer, a skeleton must be implemented.
4. The animation had to be rendered to certain specifications.
Helli-Carrier 2012
After watching Marvel's The Avengers, I was astounded by the animations used to bring the film's heli-carrier to life. Having just finished my advanced Animation class, I felt inspired to attempt my own rendition of this massive vehicle. While not as intricate, or detailed as the Hollywood creation, this is my version.
Sierra Kodiak 2013 (Pacific Rim Tribute)
As an homage to the work of the great Mr. Guillermo Del Toro, I was inspired to create my very Jaegger (a giant fighting robot from the film's fiction). This was by far the most intricate project I've ever done. Including creating mutiple seperate assets and piecing them together, as well as the first attempt I've ever made to edit the rendered product with sound in a seperate movie editing program.
Jaegger
Class: MarkV
Type: Heavy Brawler
Height: 275ft

Meant to encompass the power, aggression, and ferocity of the Bear, Sierra Kodiak was the Second MarkV ever constructed. With a full Titanium core and 70 Diesel Engines per Muscle Strand, Sierra has the most powerful muscular systems ever built for a Jaegger. She is also equipped with a Type 4 fluid synapse system, making for better neurological interface which translates to un-paralleled responsiveness and speed for it's weight class. Sierra Kodiak: the ultimate close combat Jaegger.
Le romance 2014
This was a project I worked on with the intention of experimenting with EP Curves, advanced texturing techniques, and, most significantly, different render settings. Also, I wanted to further tinker with integration of editing software (specifically Cyberlink PowerDirector 11).
Concealed Arm 2014
Once again inspired by movies like Pacific Rim and Ironman, I wanted to see if I could use parenting to animate an asset.
